XCM operates through local Maths Centres each run by a qualified and police checked tutor / manager.
The XCM system is based on two phases;
- An assessment test against the National Curriculum to establish a starting point suitable for the individual student.
- Continuous monitoring and building on student’s abilities and confidence through a varied system of worksheets, games, tasks and past papers. Structured worksheets are completed during their weekly visits to the centre, together with five night’s homework of roughly ten minutes to improve long term memory. The work is continuously varied to meet the students’ needs and ongoing development.
The success of our system has been underpinned by the fact that little and often has given the best results.
For those students unable to attend a class in their area, distance tuition can be provided.
