Xtra Curricula Maths was formed in September 1996 by John and Adrienne Hall.

Xtra Curricula Maths is now an expanding business offering after school Maths tuition to all students aged between 6 and 16, at locations throughout the U.K. We currently have four people working as franchisees who are using our materials to operate their own Xtra Curricula Maths centres in towns local to themselves. We aim to expand these franchised centres and give others the opportunity of running this worthwhile business and for students to have the benefit of one of our centres locally to them. The classes work extremely well and are extremely enjoyable. Xtra Curricula Maths has a huge bank of worksheets, task sheets and games available to its franchisees. In fact Xtra Curricula Maths provides you with everything you need to start up and continue to run your centres.

We offer a full training package to all franchisees, as many are not from a teaching background. You can be confident that expert support and advice is only a phone call away.

We have various levels of entry into our franchise and working hours are flexible between working 1 afternoon a week to 4 afternoons a week. Our franchise opportunity we feel is very well suited to retired individuals with a good level of Maths who wish to remain active and bring in some extra money at the same time. I am Adrienne Hail and started Xtra Curricula Maths with my husband in 1996. I now have two young children and operate the business by myself as my husband now works in surveying. I have not been able to grow the business over the last 3 years since having my children. I felt, and still continue to feel, that the business still has an enormous growth potential and an excellent opportunity for many of you out there. I approached one of our long-standing franchisees Colin Roberts to come on board with me to develop the franchise operation. He was very keen to do this and we have put this website together to give you a taster of what we can offer to you. Colin and I are a great team and very down to earth. We do not go in for high sales and only want people on board who we feel will offer a good quality tuition service to their students.
